Ariel Winter, known for her role on Modern Family, is opening up about her approach to health and fitness. The 26-year-old actress, who recently addressed critics of her noticeable weight loss, shared insights into her diet and workout regime while promoting Ulta Beauty’s new hair blowout services.
For Ariel, regular workouts with her personal trainer are essential. She emphasized the importance of physical exercise not just for maintaining a fit body but also for overall well-being. “Working out is really important for your physical health,” she explained. “I think mental health is really important, but also, if you want to be healthy… It is really nice when you leave, you feel better. I just want to build muscle. My body changes all the time, and I think right now, it’s just, I want to build muscle.”
Regarding her diet, Ariel advocates for moderation. She believes that enjoying a variety of foods in controlled portions is key to maintaining a balanced lifestyle. “I believe you eat everything that you want in moderation, you know, if you can, if you’re not allergic, whatever,” she stated. “Anything you can in moderation I think it’s best, that way you’re not really wanting something you can’t have and absolutely tell yourself you can’t have it when you probably could, just in moderation.”
Ariel enjoys indulging in her favorite foods, like pasta, cheese, and candy, but balances these treats with regular exercise. “I love to eat like, pasta and cheese and candy and all this stuff, so for me, I think it’s important for my actual health to go in and make sure that I’m exercising,” she continued. “So I think right now it’s probably just, health is my main motivation for going in and working out.”
Earlier in the year, Ariel faced backlash from fans over her significant weight loss, with some accusing her of undergoing plastic surgery or using drugs. The actress responded to these criticisms by sharing her struggles with weight gain due to antidepressants.
“For years I had been on antidepressants that caused me to gain weight that I couldn’t lose no matter what I did. It was always frustrating for me because I wanted to get fit and feel like the work I was doing was paying off, but I never felt that way,” she revealed on social media. “I had accepted it and moved on. I stayed on these medications for so long because the process is really long and difficult.”
Ariel’s transparency about her health journey has resonated with many, shedding light on the challenges of managing weight and mental health. Her commitment to a balanced diet and regular exercise, combined with her openness about personal struggles, makes her an inspiring figure for fans who look up to her for guidance and support.
As Ariel continues to prioritize her health and well-being, she remains a powerful advocate for self-care and body positivity. Her journey serves as a reminder that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not just about physical appearance but also about mental and emotional wellness. By sharing her story, Ariel empowers others to pursue their health goals with compassion and resilience.
